This page explains how to request deletion of your ShuleHand account and the personal data linked to it — whether you use ShuleHand as a parent or guardian, a teacher, or school staff. ShuleHand is provided by PayGala Limited, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
How to request deletion
Send us an email from the email address or phone number registered on your account:
- Email paygalalimited@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line "Delete my ShuleHand account".
- Include your full name, the phone number or username on the account, your school's name, and whether you are a parent/guardian or staff member, so we can verify your identity.
You can also ask your school's administrator to deactivate or remove your account. We verify every request and complete deletion within 30 days, and we confirm by email once it is done.
Only want to sign out of one phone?
If you simply want to stop using ShuleHand on a device, open Me → Settings → Accounts in the app, tap the menu (⋮) next to the account and choose Log out. This removes the account and its notifications from that device without deleting your data.
What gets deleted
Once your request is verified, we delete the personal data linked to your account, including:
- your account details — name, username, phone number, email, password and profile photo;
- your chat messages, and any photos, documents or voice notes you sent;
- your notifications, and the push-notification tokens for your devices and browsers;
- the links between your parent account and your children's records.
What may be kept
Some information belongs to the school's records or must be kept by law, so deleting your login does not remove it:

To have a student's school records corrected or removed, please contact the school directly — it is responsible for those records.
