These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of ShuleHand — the school management mobile app and the web system at school.erpgala.com — provided by PayGala Limited ("PayGala", "we", "us"). By signing in or using ShuleHand you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use ShuleHand.
1. The service
ShuleHand helps schools manage students, staff, classes, attendance, examinations and results, report cards, timetables, fees, library, hostel and communication with parents. Parents use it to follow their children's school life and to communicate with the school.
2. Accounts
- Accounts are created by the school, or set up for you on the school's behalf. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell your school or us immediately if you believe your account has been used without permission.
- You may be signed in to more than one account on the same device (for example, a parent account at each school your children attend).
3. Schools' responsibilities
- The school is responsible for the information it records — including student records, marks, results, attendance and fees — and for having the authority and any consent needed to record it.
- The school decides who on its staff gets which permissions, and when results are released to parents.
- The school is responsible for the accuracy of results, report cards, invoices and notices it publishes through ShuleHand.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access information you are not authorised to see, or try to get around permissions or security;
- send abusive, threatening, misleading or unlawful messages, or spam;
- upload harmful files or content that infringes others' rights;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer ShuleHand, or interfere with its operation.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will inform the school where appropriate.
5. Messages and notifications
ShuleHand sends in-app notifications, push notifications, SMS and emails about school matters such as released results, fee reminders, meetings and notices. Some SMS messages are sent at the school's request and cost. You can turn off push notifications in your device or browser settings.
6. Fees and payments
School fees, contributions and balances shown in ShuleHand are set and managed by the school. Questions about amounts owed or payments should be directed to the school. Any subscription between a school and PayGala for using ShuleHand is governed by the agreement between them.
7. Availability
We work to keep ShuleHand available and secure, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We may improve, change or remove features over time.
8. Intellectual property
ShuleHand, its software, design and branding belong to PayGala Limited. Schools keep ownership of their own data. You may not use our name or branding without permission.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Ending use
You may stop using ShuleHand at any time and ask for your account to be deleted — see Delete Account. A school can deactivate staff and parent accounts it manages. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
11. Liability
ShuleHand is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, PayGala is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for information entered by schools or users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Tanzanian law that cannot be limited.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
