These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MeetGala mobile app ("MeetGala", "the App"), operated by PayGala (support@paygala.co), based in Tanzania. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who Can Use MeetGala
You must be at least 13 years old to use MeetGala. By registering, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you'll keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
2. The Service
MeetGala lets you:
- Discover and book appointments with service providers/businesses.
- Chat, call, and connect with other users and providers.
- Manage bookings, view booking history, and receive reminders.
- Top up and use an in-app wallet to pay for bookings.
- Post short-lived (24-hour) status updates.
Service providers are independent businesses/individuals, not employees or agents of PayGala. MeetGala is a platform connecting customers and providers — we are not a party to the service arrangement itself and don't guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listed service.
3. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
- A booking request must be accepted by the provider before it's confirmed.
- Payment is made from your in-app wallet, topped up via mobile money or card through PayGala.
- Cancellation and refund terms may vary by provider; check the booking details before confirming.
- You're responsible for ensuring your wallet has sufficient balance before requesting a booking that requires payment.
4. Acceptable Use
When using MeetGala, you agree not to:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Post or send unlawful, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent content.
- Use the App to spam, scam, or solicit outside of its intended purpose.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Use another person's account without permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Content You Share
You retain ownership of photos, messages, and other content you post or send through MeetGala. By posting content (e.g. a status update, chat message, or profile photo), you grant us the limited right to store and display it within the App as needed to provide the service. Status posts are automatically deleted 24 hours after posting.
6. Termination
You may stop using MeetGala at any time and request deletion of your account (see our Delete My Account page). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect the platform or other users.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
MeetGala is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the App reliable and secure but don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, PayGala is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, or from the conduct of any service provider or other user you interact with through it.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in the App. Continuing to use MeetGala after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
