These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shambani mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Shambani.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Verification may be required via one-time password (OTP) or third-party sign-in.
2. The Service
Shambani is a platform for the agricultural community that may include a marketplace, equipment and farm lending, professional services, community posts, in-app chat, weather information, and map-based features. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. User Content
- You retain ownership of the content you post (listings, posts, messages, images, documents, voice notes).
- You grant Shambani a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and provide the App.
- You are solely responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to share it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, harmful, or infringing content.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- List prohibited, illegal, or counterfeit goods or services.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Use the App to send spam or collect other users' data without consent.
5. Marketplace & Transactions
Shambani may connect buyers, sellers, lenders, and professionals, but unless stated otherwise we are not a party to transactions between users. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing, product, or service. Any agreement, payment, or dispute is solely between the users involved. Transact carefully and verify the other party.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Google Maps Platform. Your use of those features may also be subject to the relevant third-party terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by Shambani and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information (including weather and listings) is accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shambani is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the App or from transactions or interactions with other users.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shambani operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
